Process analysis

RPA process analysis

Exhaustive analysis of existing business processes with the objective of gathering and documenting specific process requirements and being able to determine the feasibility optimization and automation.

The solution design is developed that defines how the process will be optimized and how the digital robots will be implemented to execute the tasks automatically. This involves the definition of workflows, identification of exceptions and integration with existing systems. In addition, security measures are established and tests are designed to ensure the effectiveness and reliability of the solution.

The robotic automation of processes or RPA has a very deep reach in companies, much further than just automating a few simple processes. This possibility of growth and evolution of RPA technology means a great change in companies that now have the possibility to grow along with the technology and to be constantly adapting to the evolution of the market.

Because of this, it is important to take RPA as a strategy, focusing automation on a key part of the company that ensures productivity growth and a competitive advantage over the competition.

To define RPA as a strategy it is essential to have the right RPA governance model aligned with the company's model and the creation of an RPA Center of Excellence can be the optimal solution for your company.

The CoE or RPA Center of Excellence is a team of experts in the different points of RPA and is responsible for the definition, development, operation, resource management, platform support, definition of requirements and maintenance of the robots created with RPA solutions, among many other points. In the definition of a CoE it is important to define the different necessary roles and specific functions that will help the growth of automation within the company on a large scale.

There are different RPA governance models, so it is critical to adopt the appropriate one depending on the operation and model of the company. The most common RPA governance models are:

  • Centralized.CoE that is in charge of managing everything related to automation for all business areas. This model facilitates the management and leadership of the initiative but can generate problems between the different business units.

  • Hybrid. There is a main Center of Excellence that is responsible for managing, coordinating and supporting the different business units. The business units are free to have their own CoE or to be fully managed by the main CoE. This model provides flexibility to the business areas and great support from the main CoE, but can be very difficult to manage and without a defined structure for action.

  • Decentralized. Completely independent CoEs are established for each of the business units, each of them developing and managing their automations with total freedom. This model provides a high level of knowledge of all possible problems and total flexibility, but provides a much greater scalability complication since each business unit can have its own established guidelines.

Process automation as a business strategy, the way to scale your automations and gain a competitive advantage.
